Dr. José Trasancos and his wife, Dr. Stacy Trasancos began the camp as a local extension of their pro-life organization, Children of God for Life, to help build a Culture of Life in East Texas where they live. Children of God for Life is a Non-Profit 501 (c) 3 organization (federal ID 59-3671214) whose mission is to end the use of aborted children in research. Since the beginning, Miss Angelina Sosa Estrada has been the spirit and creative brains behind the camp, as well as the leader and host during camp week. Working together, the team has witnessed how the Holy Spirit works in teen’s lives. Core to the camp are three goals: 1) Bring teens together with each other and with Christ; 2) give them knowledge about the dignity of human life and evils of abortion, and 3) inspire them to hear the voice of God in their vocations as they consider how they will shape the world during their lifetimes. They grow closer to Christ, and friendships are born that last a lifetime!
